Class #1 Introduction to Action
Our introductory course is structured as an overview of the more intense and advanced Action Boot Camp. This course is created to give students an opportunity to experience the world of stunts and military action first hand in a relaxed teaching environment.
Learn how stunts are rigged and accomplished and familiarize yourself with stunt props, stunt equipment and rigging. Instructors demonstrate 40ft high falls, stunt driving and even a real body burn so that students can learn first hand what to expect on a film or television set. Information on safety, and working with and around various FX including blood, squibs, spark hits, and other pyrotechnics are discussed and demonstrated.
In addition to lectures and hands on instruction, students will be given the opportunity to participate individually and in groups. Students will learn stunt skills such as basic car hits, fighting and tumbling and most exciting of all will get to take a high fall from a platform that is positioned from between 10 to 30 feet off the ground and into crash pads and a professional air bag!
